Outdoor play · The half court
Basketball
Half court, because full court requires cardio.
A half basketball court just north of the pickleball courts, close enough to share the crowd but on its own surface. Shoot around, run a game of HORSE, or settle who really had the better high-school career.

The court
Next door to the pickleball. Not in its way.
Featuring the famous WDR fast break: a brisk walk to the cooler.
The half court sits just north of the two pickleball courts. It adjoins them without touching, so a stray rebound never lands in somebody’s doubles match, and the spectators on the bench can heckle both games at once.

- LocationJust north of the pickleball courts, adjoining but not touching.
- Best gameHORSE, which rewards trick shots over fitness.
- RangeStill dangerous from three-point land, but mostly to the landscaping.
The half court
Nobody has dunked here yet.
Several people say they used to.
Usually right before they ask where the Jacuzzi is.
House rules

The spirit is willing. The vertical leap is missing.
- TimeoutsUnlimited. If you need one, it’s a timeout. If you need two, it’s strategy.
- DefenseMostly verbal.
- FoulsCall your own. The bench will call the rest.
- The jump shotThe jump shot is now mostly a shot.
- SubstitutionsYour knees have requested a substitution.
- Calling for the ball“I was open!” And we all know the reason.
Waggle Dance Ranch. Where “still got it” remains under review.
Bring the group. We’ll bring the ball.
The court is yours for the whole stay. Just tell us who still thinks they can go to their left.
