Jordan-Hare on a home Saturday is loud, orange and blue, and completely full. Tailgate, take in the game, then come home to a quiet field and a fire pit with nobody else around.

Then everyone rolls the oaks.

When Auburn wins a big one, the town heads to the corner and covers the oaks in toilet paper until the branches look like they caught a snowstorm. Go join in, roll a few, and then drive back to the ranch, where it’s quiet, the fire is still going, and the hot tub is waiting.
